Why- do people "put up" with cheaters?!

cheaters are jerks all around for other reasons other then cheating. they make the victim feel so insignificant over time that the victim believes no one will want them if she/he choses to leave.
Probably because they don't believe they can do better and have a low self-esteem.
I honestly think it's because they don't want to be alone.

because they love them
Because it's familiar.
It's sometimes easier to stay with what you know than to venture out into the unknown.
I say that, because I spent 4 years with a cheater...
I thought I could do no better..
Turns out..I soooooo did better!! :)

Love is blind, if you ever knew true...true love you would understand
cuz they think they are stuck with them....like they can*t make it on their own....
they have low self esteem and dont realize that they deserve better

self esteem issues they probably never have known true love and are confused and think that they cant do any better sad never put up with a cheater kick em to the curb and email me little one......
i don't know but i have two friends who won't leave their cheating partners and it makes me sad i think it has a lot to do with low self esteem and they think that once they leave the person they are with then they could never get another boyfriend or girlfriend i don't know but it makes me sad i'm happier then them both put together and i'm single and have been for like a year and a half now
they think they can help them
in a couple of cases I've seen, it is because of financial dependency-- in one case, the spouse hadn't worked & couldn't support herself..... in the other, the wife could support herself, but, her husband makes a lot of money & she had gotten used to the lifestyle....
Probably for the same reason they stay with batterers. They are afraid to start over again, and convince themselves they can change them. ==== Oh but I love him, you`ll hear them say.
because sometimes that is what they feel they deserve
