Actors and Actresses: Selfishness or rights?!
Question: First of all this has nothing to do with me, I believe that anybody and everybody has a right to leave their work to pursue something else, I just want to know what everyone else thought.
Let's say an actress plays a worldwide favored character on a popular show. After three seasons she decides to call it quits and time to move on which causes the death of the character(which her character has a child and a man in love with her). Does she have the right to move on when she felt to? Even if it's another career? Or should she only move on when it's about family? Or is she just plain selfish?

No matter what the career choice, anyone who is truly not happy in what they are doing needs to move on. It should not matter whether that person is an actor/actress, teacher, lawyer, dentist or the clerk at the grocery. If you are unhappy in what you do, it is time to find a new place to be happy.
Actors, like painters, dancers, musicians and other artists, are in it for the good that it does them. It isn't really about you. So, sometimes, like a painter, or a musician, they call it quits on one thing and move to another. This is their right, just like your dentist has a right to move to another town, or your teacher decides to teach somewhere else, or you decide to work at a different job or relocate to Siberia. Again, this isn't about you. Very little is.
She's an actress, not our little entertainment slave.
