Do you think marijuana should be legal?!

Question: Why or why not?

Answers: Why or why not?

it's no more destructive or addictive than alcohol or cigarettes, so why not have similar regulations on marijuana?

Besides, if it was at least de-criminalized, but still not legal, our over-crowded prisons wouldn't be full of non-violent recreational users. And maybe we could stop releasing rapists and murderers simply because we've run out of room to keep them.

Oh yeah, and think of all the tax dollars booze and cigarettes bring in already... then think of how much tax money pot could make. Not to mention the money we'd save by not having to send federal agents after people who smoke it.

yes, because its bad

NO...it leads to destruction of the minds of the young people

no

Yes because then people would be easier to get along with.

It doesn't hurt people the ways cigarettes and alcohol do, so I think it should be, but not for minors.

no.

it's not?

No way!
Because it is bad, like said ^^

Gah...Just because it should be, just like all other drugs.

no its just as bad as other drugs

It is a difficult question. But my answer would be: No. Drugs do more harm then good-if they do any good. And people who take drugs become rough.

of course it should, alcohol is much more destructive, you should'nt smoke dope and drive a car but, if you blow a stick of some "GOOD SH*T" in your basement at 2am on Sat. night, while watching "Tron", who could care ?

Yes to end corruption, crime around it.

Yes. It's not a drug, it's a God-given plant medicine, same as pinicillin.

only for me and my freinds

No because that is like saying it is ok to smoke and it isn't,it causes paranoia, makes mental illness worse and can also cause mental illness plus it makes people lazy, couch potatoes and we have enough of them already.I have to say that alcohol is much worse if it is not drank in moderation.

> nah... nver..

Have mixed feelings on the subject so can say neither yay or nay............

cos then they'll be junkies around me and my family and them people are craaaazzeeee

no...it makes you stupid.

Yes.....people are going to do it one way or the other and some wouldn't even do it if it was legal......besides tequila does worse things to you!

Yes I do. Legalizing marijuana would be akin to legalizing alcohol and tobacco. Federal, state, and local governments would be able to collect taxes from the sale of marijuana. Those selling "illegal" marijuana would be put out of business.

When prohibition became "law", the people who profited from it were considered "criminals"; but, that fact didn't stop people from drinking. In fact, prohibition probably brought about people wanting to drink simply because it was prohibited.

When prohibition was abolished, those who were involved in the sale and distribution of liquor were out of business. Their income from selling an "illegal" substance was cut off.

If you legalize it then you will have to pay taxes on it so therefore it will get more expensive. This could in turn lead to less people buying it because they cant afford it anymore, especially children. So i think there are good points and bad points to legalizing it. Obviously to stop children being able to buy it so easily (cause of the price increase) its a good thing, but then for the adults and people who smoke it for medical problems the inevitable price rise will not be good. Also if it gets too expensive will this increase petty crime in kids so they can afford it. Or will it just mean every1 is growing their own so wont need to buy it elsewhere. If lots of people are growing it Will this provide better weed or not? Will it keep bad dealers off the streets or increase it? So...in conclusion lol i'm not sure if its a good idea or not to make marijuana legal. N yes i smoke!!!

any substance that can induce unprecedented behavior, affect the brain negatively and cause detrimental effects, shouldn't be any where near the desire of the human interest / desire. But the forbidden fruit is always the sweetest. One can argue that its their right to decide whatever substances they use and may in what doses or extents. but then there is also the aspect of society, ie if one is likely to pose danger. so there should be some control for any thing that can be consumed and change the behavior of a person
