David Paterson from Port Elizabeth, South Africa won the South African version.
I think he may the only person who has ever won ww2bm in any country... not sure about that...
R 1M does not equate to $ 1M.
SA should start a show, "Who wants to be a dollar millionaire?" Or a pound millionaire, even better!

Its happened on the show a few times. I never won that much money, would be pretty cool though.
I saw someone win on there before. No I haven't won a million. The most I've won at once was $250.
I've only won $150 playing bingo, and I have seen people win a million on that show when it was hosted by Regis Philbin.
I have never been so lucky but I have won 10 grand in the Florida lottery (5 yrs ago) and several smaller cash prizes since ranging from a couple hundred bucks to 1 grand, 2 grand etc.
I'm still not ahead though coz I play a few bucks every day.
I look at it as banking the money and eventually withdrawing it. I have no doubt that I will eventually hit a big one, more than 1 million.
