message across. Everyone has a right to their own thoughts or opinions. We wouldn't want it any other way, if we all thought alike, it sure would be a boring life we would live.

they've been burned. i'm not an atheist but i DESPISE organized religion. we do not need help connecting to God/Spirit the connection should be personal and intimate.

My initial reaction would be to ask, "What do you mean by organized religion?" If the person says churches, then I probably mention at some point that I believe that churches are not required to be a Christian.
Doesn't matter to me. They have the choice to be what they want.

i have friends who are not my religion and we got on just fine
.. i would not have any reaction, because i accept that all people are entitled to their beliefs and i have friends with all different religions than mine, even some atheist friends... they accept me for having christian beliefs and do not force theirs onto me... why should i force mine onto them....
If it is said in response of a question then yes you have your view and most likely you are a thinker.
If just said and no one has asked or mentioned then the person is lost and trying to find himself.
