Did people in the 70's ever look around?!

Question: and say man this sh*t is ugly? Green fridges? Orange carpets? Bell Bottoms?

LMAO!!!!!! I'm an old geezer and I had my doubts about it at the time. What I find really weird is young people who want to wear 70's stuff. It was horrible the first time and it doesn't get any better with age.

Oh hell no. They were trend setters.

no i dont think so that was the style back in the day, how would they now better, if it hadnt came out yet. i asked my mom the same question.

I had orange walls in my room.

Every decade has its trends. Remember slasher cheeks, head bands and those Flashdance shirts in the 80s...what were they thinking?!

Did you ever look around and see how ugly things are now?

Or in the mirror...What was with those haircuts???

ya forgot side burns mann

maybe green and orange looked better on LSD than it does on crack and meth.
bell bottoms have already came back -in case you haven't noticed.

No, we just thought it was fun and groovy, man.

Granted, I had shag carpeting that had yellow and green and burnt orange in it, but what can you do? :-)

People were courteous to each other, schools were still safe, people didn't drive like maniacs, and pop songs had singable melodies [as opposed to that Spears thing whining inane lyrics like "bay-beh bay-beh" like some deranged wannabe sex kitten].

And surely an avocado green refrigerator wasn't nearly as hideous as all the hairstyles of the 1980s. YIKES!

By the way, for kitsch value I held onto my three pairs of Angel Flights slacks all these years -- chocolate brown, tan, and powder blue. Lord, those pants made anyone's butt look fantastic. Anyway, I recently sold each on eBay for nearly $200 each. Woo-hoo!

I was 15 in 1970 and loved the 70's to me you just had to be there to understand how great it was, even today the young people love to listen to the 70's music, the best music still. as far as the different colors of fridges, carpets and bell bottoms, they were ALL FUN,a very happy time and don't forget Lava lamps...lol....

not as much as the people today
there were a lot less people chasing them and big brother was still little then.

Probably not, that was the THING for that decade.
