I got spanked one time in the 8th grade for copying my friends Lab Book in Science. I was mortified and I hated that teacher's guts after that. 15 years later she moved in next door to me and screwed my husband. True story.

A teacher pulled me and another girl out of a closet we had hidden in because someone had gone to tattle on us for giggling. She used our ears. I felt shame, fear and lots of pain. I hated her. Ironically her name was Mrs. Fair.

When I was in the 8th grade they would send you to the principal's office to get swats. Once you got 25 swats you had your own paddle made by someone in Shop Class. When you got to 50 they would drill one hole in the barrel end and the same for 75. If you get over 100 like I did your name is engraved in paddle. My principle would hold paddle like a golf club and yell Fore! when he hit you. It hurt like hell

Then in 6th grade, I was spanked for cussing by the principal in his office. I bragged afterwards about how it didn't hurt, etc. in order to make it out like it was no big deal - like I was a hero or something. So, yeah, that time I went the "badge of honor" route!
yes, I waited for him after school and beat the crap out him. That is why I will always remeber my last day in school. It was indeed a glorious moment.

Girls were put in detention....ohhh, I'd like a dollar for everytime I had to stay behind after school!

We always demanded to get paddled because it was quick and over with, unlike detention.
I got paddled a couple times. Once in the 2nd grade, when I was just a squirt, this teacher told everyone not to get out of their chairs. I didn't pay attention or hear her. She spanked me bare handed right in front of the class.
Then the second time we were in the 8th grade and we were cutting school for like 28 days (I was still carrying a B average) and got caught and the vice principal pulled us into the office and gave us 3 wacks with a large paddle that had holes in it.

I went to Catholic School in New Jersey.
50's 60's....didn't have lay teacher until 6th grade....
I had NUNS....old time full habit Nuns.
And they were not shy about corporal punishment.
The Nun in classroom took care of minor offenses.
More serious offenses were handled by Mother Superior...and she was about150 years old.
More serious than that was to be taken to rectory where priest would admonish
"theres a special place in hell for boys like you:)"

By the time I went through school, they had done away with corporal punishment... Least ways I never received it. But then again I didn't become a little hooligan until Jr. High.
