I'm sure it was in black and white when I watched it - we came from a poor family and a poor street, and we didn't have a plasma screen beween us.
I used to be sent out on a Friday night to do begging outside the TV shop to pay my way.
I remember Hector well.
He had big ears, a silly wig and called him / herself Hectoria, dressed kinda ridiculous, and still brings a lump to my throat even today just thinking about it.
I'll take that Hector, and raise you a Clanger and a Soup Dragon.

I checked out your link and i don't remember hector.
But i did remember Mary Mungo And Midge with the see saw intro music.I knew the music from when i was a kid.
Im 36 and that came out in 1969.
So i must of seen reruns when i was 5 unless the programme was still being made in the early 70's.
It brought back nice memories though.
Yes I can remember Hectors House and most of the related videos, I am 46 years old though.
