Nextel chirp and immediately start talking or chirp and wait for a response?!

Question: What do you think is the proper etiquette?

Answers: What do you think is the proper etiquette?

It totally depends on the person you are wanting to talk to... what i usually do is chirp the person and wait for a response, that way if they are around other people in a situation that might not be the perfect time or place for them to talk at that perticular moment, then they have the oppertunity to move themselves to a differnent location before starting the conversation.

Chirp, wait a second or two, then talk.

Chirp and wait for a response. I think it is rude to just start talking! they will respond

Alert that person first...

wait for a response! they could be anywhere like the grocery store or something and it's the worst when some idiot friend says something obnoxious for everyone to hear.

chirp and say the persons name or hello or something like if you had made a phone call. if they dont answer leave a voice mail.

wait for a response but i don't think using this feature while in the company of others is proper etiquette at all. Very rude and I for one can not stand it if i'm somewhere and I hear chirp... hey let's do this blah blah i'm like umm okay goodbye in fact this sounds really weird but i hardly even hang out with any of my friends that use this feature anymore because it is so annoying.
