Do other countries have a holiday like Thanksgiving?!


Question: Yes but it's not quite the same obviously. the american version has something to do with the native americans.
in germany we call it "erntedank" which means something like thanks for the crops. thanks for the food.

canada has thanksgiving in oct.
USA in Nov.

no for ex sweden does not celebrate thanksgiving

china has a holiday like thanksgiving but its not, they eat turkey then and mash potatoes, but its for different reasons

what do you think? considering its an american holiday celebrating how the pilgrims (who only came to america) received food from the indians (who happened to be in america as well)??? THINK about it...think real hard

In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving on the one true thanksgiving day. not some made up american holiday.
