In this situation, which would you choose?!

Question: You're driving 60 MPH on a narrow two lane road and there's a car approaching the opposite direction.

Then out of nowhere, a person dashes onto the road. In that split moment of decision making, what do you choose? Hit the person or swerve and hit the oncoming car while going 60 MPH?

At 60mph, a head on collision wound almost mean certain death for you and the other driver should you both collide, if you hit the pedestrian , you could kill him, but that would just be one death , compared to two in the other scenario.

If i'm in my truck i have the right of way.

stop?

Hit the car.

In that split-second decision, I would probably automatically swerve out of the way. That would just be my reflex. If I think about it for a while, I may choose otherwise, because someone stupid enough to dash out in the middle of a two lane road with a speed limit of 60mph+ is gonna get what's comin to him..

i would stop...

can't i slam on the brake?

First, I'd ask for God's help.Second, you said a narrow two lane road but you didn't say if there was anything off to the right hand side of my lane. Assuming the person had to come from somewhere on the right hand side, I'd probably take my chances an swerve to the right.Even on a narrow two lane road there is a chance that the other car would swerve to the right and if I did ,too, maybe there would be enough room for the pedestrian in the middle.
