When I was younger and at school, I hated rules and regulations and I went out of my way to break most them. These days I am older and wiser.

I was a rebel the first half of my life. There were a lot of sad, unintended consequences. I've been playing by the rules for the second half of my life. I'm much happier (WAAAAYYYY!) and nobody gets hurt.
If you break the rules you also break the hearts of a lot of people who love you and care about you.
I used to be a rebel!!! I learned a lot of life lessons doing that!!! I finally got sick of rebeling against everything and it was costing me a lot of money and now I try to follow the rules as much as possible. I still have fun following the rules!!!
I cannot understand the rules therefore I don't know how to break them in order to be a rebel and I can't follow them either since I don't understand them. So, in the end, I'm just an oddball... at least I don't pretend to be a rebel like 90% of the people out there!
