well politely tell the person(s) that you cannot work your phone and it is annoying you,and ask if they still have the proof of purchase,and if they do ask them if you could get another phone
i am sure they would understand,and at least of you get another phone in replacement with the money they paid for your samsung E900 they should not mind because of your circumstances
