People with dwarfism having children?!

Question: i'm talking about people that are healthy. i'm asking about dwarfism in particular as it is one of the few genetic disorders that doesn't really affect health

i'm asking this to find out whether you think it is right for people with dwarfism (whatever type) to have children and pass the condition onto their kids

i'm not sure on my opinion on this. some people would say it's a bit harsh to pass something onto to a child that you know made life extremely hard for you. however, i do think it should always remain a personal choice

do you have an opinion on this? is this a step away from racism and purism? are people who think that people with genetic disorders shouldnt have kids, just as bad as hitler?

well for ppl whose dwarfism is genetic they have a 50:50 chance of having dwarf kids and i personally feel that it is upto the person if i were a dwarf(which is highly impossible coz in 6 feet tall) i would not want my child to undergo the horror and the insluts that a person with dwarfism has to face
however if the person is a dwarf due to the undersecretion of hormones from the thyroid gland then their kids dont face the donger od being born as dwarfs

its upto them everyone is entitled

Of course they should have children if they want to, theres actually no guarantee they will pass on the genes that cause it.

Anything else is discrimination

EDIT: Nice to see my TD troll has found me today

Society has decided what is "normal".....But Mother Nature hasn't......not for anyone to say unless they are involved

You may be surprised that they can have normal sized children and most do. So ...it is not fair to generalise that they will have kids that are little people. ANd, as you say - it is a "genetic disorders that doesn't really affect health" - ie the children are healthy. So there is no real good reason to say that they shouldn't have children.

Don't ask me . I am still hammered.

Small people scare me..

who are we to say if someone with a disability/condition should or should not have children, there is plenty of able bodied people who shouldn't,but we don't question their ability.
my cousin has dwarfism and has 2 children, both are healthy happy adults now, oh and one of them suffers from dwarfism too ..............
