Notice they have not said in the press how old the kid was? My guess is he was so young that there's an adult supervision issue being dealt with here. I would not be surprised to hear there have been some further consequences on it, but you know that juvenile cases have big privacy issues, so it may not leak to the press.

I hope its HUGE. I herd he is a teen or early teen. He should know better! Also his parents should be somewhat responsible for not teaching him or not paying attention. Of course as a mom I know kids don't do what you tell them to, or not to! :)

What will they do to him? Put him in juvy until 19? The feel good liberals will probably make him go to counseling and give him probation. There will be a high dollar judgment against his parents.

Its really messed up too. what was the kid expecting. anyone that lives out here knows how it can get this time of year. my dad and brother (both firefighters) didn't get to come home at all that week. i hope this kid understands what he did. the fires were devestating this year. worse that 2005.
