I think they were talking about how they weren't really right for each other, but just couldn't seem to let go. I saw it that one time on that one night when I was over at one of my friend's house for something or other.
Yeah they were talking about their secret love affair! You see they are having an affair, but he is really engaged to her sister. He cant break the engagement because her sister is loaded with money and as soon as they are married half will be his then he is planning on staying married for a couple years to make it look like he really loved her. Then he will get a divorce and the two of them will live happily ever after!
