How often do you wine, dine or stay in 5 & 7 star hotels?!

Question: Myself, a few times in a month and once in a week for dinner or visit the nightclub with friends at the Hyatt or Sheraton.

I love the decor, people and being a regular at some of their restaurants. Its fun and I enjoy it.

What about you?

It may make a difference in other parts of the world, but in the UK, you find that value for money of the top hotels is just not worth it.

The last few visits to London have been 5 star, and I won't do it again. I chose this hotel for the pool and spa, but they have now started charging extra for it, and when you count that there are far better placed hotels with rooms that are just as nice, and that it is far better to dine out than pay way too much for poor food in the hotel.

Also when you consider that the stars are for facilities and amenities, and when you realise that all you really want is a bed to sleep in, as the city gives you all the other stuff, then as long as it isn't a flea pit, I'd be happy.

ah, i should join the mafia then i can live the high life like you

7 star?

never
they don't allow people like me in there

CUTE NAME, LOL

Nice hotel? 3 to 4 times a year
Nice restaurant? once a month

We all enjoy it.. but not the tab

firstly can't afford
secondly i don't like that kind of environment. I feel it's very artificial... too much etiquette... it simply bores me.. i'd rather spend time with family and have dinner with them at home... nothing beats that

Once a week in 5 star.

What 7 star hotels are you dining in though?

I have dined in one of the only two official seven star hotels. There are two more that are said to be worth rating 7 but neither has been rated officially yet. And that is world wide. You would have to travel outside of the US to dine at an officially designated 7 star!!!!!

I once stayed in a 1 star hotel in Bordeaux ....... that's as good as it gets for scum like me.

I have visited many 5* hotels to meet friends/guests but never dine or stay in any :- ]

umm......once in 2 or 1 month....i've never been in 7 stars and never seen any
the parties of my dad's friends........*wink*

*toot toot*

I would if I could afford it! You lucky thing! I really enjoy a night out with friends start of with a few beers and Rums at home then all chip in for a taxi into town have a nice meal then cut loose at the clubs! then followed by a day of very little movement! great way to end the week. At the moment I never get to do that cause I'm in a country town and don't know anyone but when I'm in Brissy I manage to do it about once a month. Its just so expensive!

too expensive for inedible food and boring chit chat. never have, never will. (hey, you asked!)

never

ah...ah..aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you wine & dine only in 5 & 7 star hotels, poor girl. you know i go to a hotel where there are millions of stars & a moon also. its a roof top hotel on the 45 th floor.

I have never been on holiday in my life, or stayed in a hotel.

I work at a 5 star hotel so I stay in places like this A LOT!!! and the fine dinning is not so rare as well.

stayed at a ***** (5), to make it a change of pace, well i thought it sucked, rooms were no better, and the bar was super expensive, and i really cant see myself paying those prices again, it COMFORT INN for me

Literally every day - What is there in life after all. Enjoy and be happy.

rarely, if ever
