Question: I know a older lady that is a teacher at my school. She has red hair, and she always wears these orange shoes. One day she was coming to school and she tripped and fell down the sidewalk. She rolled all the way down to the road. Do you think it is funny or do you think it is sad? I also have an aunt that has a new boyfriend. He looks like a hillybilly and he talks like one too. He was pouring cement for us at our house and he fell in. Do you think that is funny or sad? I also know a fat guy that lives across the street from us. My sister threw a ball and it landed in his yard. She ran to get it and she ran into him and got stuck in his fat. Do you think this is funny or sad? I also have another aunt that is retarded. Every time I see her she says hullo Bionacca how are yoooooou. Do you think that is funny or sad? And last but not least I have a grandma that is a little fat and I tell her not to eat so much but she eats like a dog. Do you think this is funny or sad?

I think they are all sad, making fun of people who have a handicap is not funny. My son has Down Syndrome and I see people make fun of him everyday and I know that he does not know but THEY do and I think how sad their lives must be to pick on a boy with such a pure heart. When I see someone fall I offer a helping hand, I do not laugh, what if that were you?
I am sure you are a very nice person and in some situations these could be funny but but the word retarded is not a kind word. It is painful, try mentally challenged or slow or handicapped...
