I think it's because it tastes sooooooo good and it's so versatile.
I mean how many chocolate covered things are there out there?
And you can have it liquid form, solid, soft....hot, cold, warm, gooey....It's fabulous.

In the past chocolate was a treat reserved for the the ruling class....when I eat it, not only is it realllllly tastey, but it makes me feel like a king. That is why I like it.
Because chocolate makes people feel good. Its almost like a drug except of course its not harmful. It is probably got some indgredient in it that makes you feel calm and puts you in a good mood. Usually when people are stressed upset or just need cheering up the'll probably go for chocolate or something simular.
