There aren't any studies proving that you can lose weight from green tea. I do want to tell you that drinking water by itself can work wonders for losing weight. That's one reason why I can see green tea causing someone to lose weight. Water is boring to drink, it's just plain, right? But, adding some flavor to it, like regular unsweetened tea or a green teabag, can make water easier to drink. They are virtually calorie and sodium-free and drinking it when you are hungry can help decrease calories big time. I lost 15 pounds over the summer in about 2 months by simply calorie counting. By calorie counting, I don't just mean counting calories on food, but I also mean using a calorie calculator I found on the Internet that shows you how many calories you burn by doing certain activities. I'm a mathematical kind of guy by nature so being able to subtract calories by doing different activities allowed me to see what I had to do to work off the calories I ate that day.
