If the water goes clockwise down the sink's drain you are in the northern hemisphere, if it goes counterclockwise, you are in the southern hemisphere.
The water swirls down the drain clock-wise in the northern hemisphere, and counter clock-wise in the southern hemisphere.
When you flush the toilette or run water in the sink, if the water goes left, then you're in the north hemisphere...If there's no water in the toilette neither the sink, then we're been abducted by aliens!!!.

i really wouldn't be thinking about that. i'd be wondering how to get out of a room with no windows or doors.
