I would give 15% to my church because they do good things with money like help the poor and homeless. Pay off all my bills and my house, do some work to the house too. Take a vacation and put the rest in the bank.

I'm serious. That's too much money for me, I wouldn't mind a few grand to get a new car and pay off my debts, but I don't think I'd know what to do with a million quid, I wouldn't be able to cope.

I'd donate money to literacy charities and children's charities.
But I'd also set up a big retirement fund for my parents, I'd set up college funds for my baby cousins, I'd buy myself a house (I'm sick of renting), and then I'd travel. To Florence, Italy. And if there was enough money left over, I'd buy myself a tiny apartment in Florence. Oh, heck yes I would.

The first thing I would do is thank them.
Then I would go back to school, trade in my truck for a new car, and move out. I would put about $100k in the bank and whatever is left goes to charity. I have no use for close to $800-900k, why wouldn't I give it away?
