Would you do this in your kitchen?!
Question: I was discussing kitchen cabinets with two customers yesterday, and one of them kept asking for 'cheap as possible' The other customer piped in (bless his heart) and said 'you want cheap....why don't you just hang milk crates on your wall' We all laughed...but then I got the visual of it and said 'Ya know, if you painted them, that would look COOL'

OMG! I think that is a fabulous idea! I need new cabinets too but lack the funds. I might just try that myself!
My son wants peg board on the walls in his room. I might add peg boards to my kitchen walls too! Thx for this post!!!
I think it would look cheesy. I wouldn't do it. But cheap cabinets don't necessarily have to be cheap looking!

You better jump on the idea and start marketing it. Someone will come out with it eventually watch and see.

It's possible that might look ok. If you could find a way to make it look cuting-edge and tasteful, you might have a huge idea on your hands. It would be great to make that a theme of the whole house too. Not just crates, but other cheap things that could look classy.
Oh, just make sure you paint the name of where the crate came from!
i have a few old wooden pop crates in a corner with some stuff in them. i like using old stuff for other things like that....

you know if it was up to me, I'd stick cardboard boxes up there...but instead we will drop,$7,800 just on the cabinets...close to 30G's when all is said and done in the kitchen...thank gawd for refinancing...lol!

That's how new ideas are born ! Well, while milk crates will not be too strong, there is nothing wrong with offering the option of open door cabinets for those who want it.
