When you live in a trailer park it stays up all year. It's outdoors, and we turn the lights on every night.

The day after Thanksgiving we put a fake one upstairs and I let the kids decorate it. If we had a real tree up there they would drag it all over, spill water and get pine needles everywhere. The real one goes downstairs in mid December.
One to two weeks before Christmas so the tree doesn't dry out too much. Didn't get one last year. Too busy!
