Good manners are very important to me. Being a mother of two, I need to set a good example.
Good manners is the same as do unto others as you would want them to do to you.
I have taught both my boys and my Grandson the importance of good manner. And it is a pleasure when people tell my wife and I what great kids we have.
I had a lady tell me one time, after I was being polite, that she appreciated my good deed and was going to share the favor with someone else.

my father was in the military. it was always "yes sir" or "yes maam" please and thank you.
