Should my doctor have said this?!

It's the truth.....so at least he's honest.
He was just being honest and expressing his amazement and by the sound of it, his admiration.
He was probably amazed that a woman, after going through childbirth pains would want to experience that again. You have to realise that us guys are wimps like that.
Nothing I hate more than doctors trying to run women's lives for them. Your doctor should most definitely *not* have said that.
My mother had twelve, (children that is lol) and every single time she got pregnant after number six, she was offered a termination repeatedly. But she didn't want one - obviously
You should turned around and told him that he doesn' seem to realise what a precious gift a child can be.
What did you do? I'd have knocked him silly (but that's probably because nearly all doctors say that and it annoys me) A LOT

He probably shouldn't have said it, it's not very professional. I guess he was being appreciative of the suffering women go through, but it could come across a bit weird.
