I think that texting while driving should be illegal, and driving without headset or speaker phone should be. It is just as bad as being drunk at the wheel.

OMG yes!! I'm soo sick of hearing about people getting in accidents because of those things...not too mention when we have our newborn in the car and someone almost side swipes us..or hits us head on because they are on a cell phone...

Yes, if people are using cell phones they are distracted and won't see a deer like me running out in front of their car.
I think they should at least make it a law that you have to use a bluetooth or a headset. I do think cell phone usage should be stopped while driving.
I try not to use my cell phone while driving, but I admit I'm guilty. I do try to use my hands-free.

of course they shouldn't be used. i cycle to work and back an the amount of tossers using phones and not looking where they're going really get my back up. i kicked somebodys door t'other day and put a reet big dent in it! he could have killed me so i think he got off lightly...then i flicked him the V's and called him a...(begins with F, ends with ucker!)
Considering it's been proven that the majority of people drive worse with a cell phone to their ear than with a few drinks under their belt yes I think they should be not allowed to be used while driving.
We really don't need more accidents and deaths when we already have too many!
