Do you have any christmas day traditions or did you have any that you'd like!

Question: When we were little, my mom always had me and my brothers & sister line up at the top of the steps, oldest to youngest, and the youngest would put the baby Jesus in the manger. None of us were allowed to go downstairs until everyone was up and in line!

We all go to my parents house at 7AM in our PJ's - me and my hubby (49), my sis and her hubby (49/50)my nieces (20 and 15) and my nephews (17 and 13). We open up our gifts from each other and have breakfast together. Then we all go back to our houses to open gifts from Santa. At about 2PM we all go back to my parents with other relatives and spend the entire day around the dining room table eating, drinking and having a great time. We've been doing this since the kids were infants and would never change this tradition!

my family has had the tradition of opening one present on Christmas eve. we also have it where the kids are allowed to go through the stocking upon waking up, but are not allowed to even touch the presents until the parent(s) are awake and have had coffee.

On Christmas Eve we go over my grandmothers house with my whole family, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. and we have an awesome dinner and dessert and play Christmas music on the piano. then we come home and go to midnight Mass (church) its soo peaceful.

Also in the morning nobody is allowed downstairs untill everyone is up. haha my brothers must hate me for it, cause i love to sleep in!
