this girl that has to move to a small town after her mom decides to start dating again after her divorce. there, she gets a job at a diner and meets another girl and a boy and they all become friends and she and the boy realize they like each other. everything is good until her boyfriend gets cancer and the other girl gets raped and kills the person who raped her in the heat of the moment. then, she has to face the charges. after that, the protagonist finds out her mom had her wedding three weeks ago and didn't even call to tell her. so she gets really mad at everything and goes out and does something destructive involving a fast car. but doesn't kill herself b/c that'd be too much tragedy for one book and no one would buy it then.
Are you a teenager, Tubelet? "A Teenage Girl's Tour of the Internet" could possibly be a reasonably good seller. I'd think your markets would be older women who have never used the internet and think of it as something scary and forbidden but exciting, or other teenage girls who want to read it to see how cool you are, or how cool they are compared to you.
