Your body???!

Question: I am 31 - I am the same size in clothes as I was when I was 20, but for some reason I feel completely different about my body and it's shape.

During my 20's I was forever trying to tone up, loose weight, all that kind of crap - looking at what I thought where girls with better figures and envying them - always wanting something different....

I am now officially into my 30's and I've had a new lease of life! I think ( all of a sudden ) - I look fookin great!!! I am looking at what I have got in a completely different light - my friends and the opposite sex seem to have noticed this!

Anyone else had this same sort of self acceptance or am I losing the plot!!!??

I know exactly what you mean I'm 33 and LOVING my 30s, I've had this conversation with some of my friends and we all agree we become so much more comfortable with who we are and don't care so much what people think of us. My body's not perfect, whos is, but I except that and as long as my man finds me sexy, which he does, thats all that matters. Have confidence is sexy in itself !!! You're not losing the plot at all just becoming comfortable with yourself and realising theres more important things to think about than every single calorie you eat and missing a gym session, welcome to the flirty thirty's, embrace it and enjoy !!!!!!! xx

Your really lucky I hated my body when I was younger and I still do so gloat all you want I suppose all that toning has paid off in the end

no not loosing the plot but show us a pic would be nice

well no i like my body the way it is now i work out everyday and i like the resluts
but im only 16....

im not a 30 somthing female but maybe you've just lost weight without realising it... you tried stepping on the scales recently??? maybe everyone else just got really ugly but i dunno if that actually makes u feel sexy if your surrounded by less good looking people... Whatever the reason.. enjoy your new "look"!!!

I feel exactly the same, I look amazing and everybody else seems to agree. Its all about confidence in yourself and not giving a **** what people think, keep smiling!!

i think your losing the plot lol
my auntie is feeling the same about herself
i think she looks great

Well, lucky you, glad you feel good about yours...
Most of us feel bad about our bodies all the time.

Yea i agree, it may not be the same for everybody but I've found that as ive gotten older i've become less critical over my shape and trying to strive for perfection. I am slightly larger than when i was younger but i feel much better and happier about myself now. I think part of it is realising that there is more to life and other people do not judge you as critically as we do ourselves. I think its a shame body image has such a hold over people in this day and age.

I'm 28 soon to be 29, but i was just having this conversation with some women the other day and they said when they hit their 30's that they were completely comfortable with themselves and things were just easier. If that's the case I can't wait to hit my 30's. I am constantly obsessing about my body. A lot of people tell me am very sexy and have a great body especially for having two children, but I always think I could be so much better. I don't think your losing the plot at all. I'm quite envious.

If you look good, you feel good.

And, if you feel good you look good.

People notice that.

I think the main thing here is that you are less critical of your body than before. Like you say, you have accepted yourself as you are.

So it's not so much about how you look that has made you feel happier about yourself, but more to do with how you think about how you look.

And you think you look good.

Which makes you feel good.

Which makes you look good.

Which makes you feel good.

Look good.

Feel good.

Look.

Feel.

Good.

i wish i could be that happy with myself.. its never gona happen though.. i wish that i could let all my insecurities go.. your lucky... must be nice to have that feeling.. i cant wait for it and im 14...=/

I hate being 30 but I kinda know what you mean. It just doesn't seem so important any more. I can now look in the mirror and think "Yeah, I look good" and I'm about 4 stone heavier than I was 10 years ago and never once thought that then!

i am 62..fairly good shape..but as you age then your system changes...you can take care of yourself all you want...but you cant stop aging...no merical pill for that...i see people younger than me and i would say..boy i used to do that..or how the heck did he/she do that ???the muscles and joints dont last forever...so enjoy while you can...p.s...my sexual appetite is still in tact...lol
