What do you do when you come across a hard boiled egg?!
Question: that refuses to unpeel? Do you fight it's obstinance micro piece by micro piece, or do you use it as target practice on the cats?

burp
I run it under lukewarm water, then the shell peels right off!
i rip it apart, hate it when that happens, if you peel when still warm they do a little better, but some are super stubborn
Put it in a bowl of water, roll it around so that the shell cracks. Wait one minute and peel.
I learned this from my hubby after many years of ruining hardboiled eggs!!
pour cold water on it..crack the shell a little..then peel..works everytime
I throw it and see if it cracks by then. LOL ?
I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM, BUT IF I DID I'D THROW IT OUT N START OVER! GL W/ UR EGGS N LEAVE THE CATS ALONE! LOL. ;)
I've found that cold water at full blast works pretty good.
before turning off the stove while boiling eggs sprinkle some salt over the eggs and water
If it won't peal easily then it is an old egg and I do not want it so it is used as part of the slurry mix for the garden.
tap it gently against the surface counter top .. tap different sides . if i rip too much out of it / not suitable for a deviled / (angelic) egg ... i utilize the yellow only and pitch the white
throw it at the cats then let me fill your mouth up ;)
