Yes. I've got a couple kids that have gotten 5-10 dollars. My godsons get 1-2 dollars.
My niece got $20 for her first lost tooth & $5 for each one after!! I only got $0.25!!
Tooth Fairy Union rates apparently have gone up through the years it seems:
Although, some parents overdo it in my eyes sometimes these days -- what are U really teaching the kids? Mine got a dollar for the first one, if I remember correctly, occasionally just .50 cents if they pulled it out themselves, at least a dollar for the first molar & then a dollar for each one after that.
** I was happy with a nickel & up to a quarter for a front tooth or a molar, but in those days, I could actually buy some more candy for a nickel to help rot my teeth! ;-)
The fairy "pro-rates" each tooth depending how much decay is in the tooth itself.
--more cavities less money
I give my son a buck a tooth.
She sure does, my grandson just lost his first tooth she left him $5.00 under his pillow
My daughter got 10 Euros for her first tooth, the rest will be 5 Euros.
The toothfairy brings my kids gold dollars, halves, foreign coins whatever she comes up with... usually around $3 to $5.
Our kids get those Sacajawea dollars - the golden ones - one each - one per tooth.
