Have You Ever Had A Bad Airplane or Travel Experience?!

Question: Yes, I have had a couple of bad airplane experiences. Once I was in a plane that had just reached our destination but for whatever reason could not land. Congested air traffic most likely. So, we flew in a holding pattern circling the airport at just the right altitude so that my ears kept popping and popping and popping. OUCH! Passengers were grouchy. Babies were crying. And my ears,,,omg. Even gum-chewing did not help. This went on for at least an hour. Welcome home, right?

Another time I got pulled out of a line at an airport to be searched. It was crazy. A big part of the problem was that I had been booted from one airline to another, with my luggage still on the first plane. When the flight attendant learned that I had no luggage while checking in with the second airline I could tell by the look on her face that she freaked out. Can't prove it, but I think she alerted airport security via her computer or something, and the next thing I knew I was being pulled out of the line to be searched. I had a lot of fun with the guy who searched me, asking him questions like "Why did you guys single me out?" etc. At some point the guy quickly wrapped up his search routine, smiled, and wished me well on my way. Thank God they did not cause me to miss yet another flight.

Yes.

Show me a person who hasn't, and I'll show you a person who's never travelled

Thankfully, no

No, how can flying on a crowded plane in coach be anything less than an absolutely wonderful experience?

Yes, once when I was traveling to Ohio, I got caught in a snowstorm. Give me best answer and I will tell you the whole story.

too many to mention.

when i had to travel alone for 18 hrs on a plane

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

yep
i should have been drinking would have been better

Yeah. Every time I get on a cattlecar, er, I mean plane.

too, many including a crash landing, a wheel didn't come out

Yes. Once it was so turbulant that I puked in one of the barf bags. Then it smelled really bad. The flight was five hours long. UGH. But that was like nine years ago.

once when i was going home from New Mexico trying to land
it was storming and i couldnt land till it kinda passed away

No have you? Oh, except that when my family and I backpacked across Italy last summer my mom broke her foot. And that was one week into our five week trip! It was a nightmare.

2 day delay in O'hare airport in chicago because of a blizzard, i get to SanFrancisco and find out my baggage is gone and it was never found.

yeah we were flying to PA from SC and we had to fly to charlotte then catch a plane to PA and there was a 2 hr delay because of a security issue so we missed our second flight and had to take another one at 1am in the morning

more than once....

one of them was flying out of O'Hare... we had already circled forever just to land there & then someone was in my seat when I boarded my transfer.... then we got in a nasty thunderstorm & it really looked like that episode of "Twilight Zone" with the gremlin on the wing....

I was traveling to Israel and the moment we touch the ground one engine caught on fire.It was exciting since I was a kid, if it would have happened now I would probably had a heart attack.

yes ...delta..(on the middle of somewhere got plan delay delay then cancel,,because of weather)takes me whole day stay on airport..

Two.

Having a microburst hit the plane as it took off from SFO.

I knew, but the other passengers didn't because of the fog.

Both pilot and first officer musta had to change underwear, as they knew how close we were to dumping the plane in the Bay..

The other was a compressor stall during ENGINE pushback at MSP in a DC-8. BOOM! The pilot should have had us deplane & check for damage....He didn't..That is why they are NORTHWORST in my book...

flew from Houston, TX to mobile, AL on a small commuter prop plane during severe thunder storms..... plane was thrown around like star tours at Disneyland.....
