I was a shop assissant in a crystal tableware shop. There was a mother in store with the most annoying child creating havok, getting stuck in displays, touching fragile glasses, moving displays etc
For some reason the mother mistook my disapproving glare and thought I looked like a baby sitter. She left her child near the desk while she used our 'staff only' toilet.
After a short while her child asked where his mum was.
I told him she had gone and left him here and could he drive coz otherwise he can't get home.
He burst into tears just as his mum walked out. I told her he was worried where she was.
NO WAY would I take it back! I wasn't the absolute worst thing but it was SOOOOO funny.
That child was a twat and so was the mother who dumped him on me.
I've never said anything heartless, but there was this one time I was in a shop, and a desperate mother left her sweet, well behaved child with the assistant, so that she could use the toilet (She had a very painfull bladder problem).
After a short while the angelic child asked where his mum was. The assistant told him she had gone and left him here and could he drive coz otherwise he can't get home!

i think it's one of the worst things i've ever said and i regret it, there's nothing worse than hitting a low time in your life then having someone say they're giving up on you. leaving you virtually alone. i think it makes it worse that he liked me, even though he was probably just on the rebound. and he'd always comfort me when i cried [still did after i said that, which makes me feel worse.] i never did apologize.
When I was a teenager I skipped school. I got caught, my dad was upset and grounded me. I was mad at him and told him that I hated him. I regret saying it, even though it's been years since I said it. He did forgive me but I still feel guilty saying it.
