the Bob Newhart Show, ESPECIALLY an episode called "Mu Gu Gai Pan". that has to be the funniest 1/2 hour EVER aired. period.

Out of those choices I like "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". I am a fan of "Sanford & Son".
All pretty naff but I have a soft spot for Bob Newhart, especially his stand up stuff.
From that list, The Bob Newhart Show, hands down.
Overall, has to be All in the Family. Humor at it's finest.

Happy Days by a mile! I loved that show!
Hmmm, my answer would be The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It was a real shock in those days for a woman to be "making it on her own" for a lot of people, and I think she was the prototype for many of the positive things that happened in the future for women. And men. Plus the characters were hilarious!

Growing up in the UK the only two popular shows on your list were Happy Days and to a lesser degree Laverne and Shirley. Believe it or not I think Shirley may have been my first crush lol. Is she still on TV in the states?
Bob Newhart, definitely. I always liked his stand-up stuff, and he complements the other wacky characters in the show perfectly.
