has this ever happened to you?

Yes. Once, right before Christmas. I have no explanation for it either. I had been fighting (not screaming) w/ my now husband. I went to my dad's and couldn't talk at all. It sucks. Needless to say, my husband was quite happy.

Yes.

Never =]

yes.i hate it when it happens

never ;)

nope

no

Yeah after a concert!

NOPE

yup sure .... but i was screaming... i was cheering for my school tht way...

No matter how much I talk, and believe me, I talk alot, I have never lost my voice.

uhh, no..

Yeah drink some hot tea with lemon and try not to strain your voice...whispering is a big strain believe it or not

i drink some water that helps

WOW! THAN, YOU ARE A TALKATIVE.

yes

i thought i just has a really stubborn cold and couldnt be bothered going to the doctors so i just left it until i couldnt talk. went to the doctor and found out i had a chest infection in my lungs and it had spread into my heart. had to have ECGs done on it and a long course of antibiotics.... not cool

Not by just talking too much. But I have when I've gone out somewhere where I need to speak loud because of the noise, like a concert or something.

yes, your voice gets kind of raspy at first, try drinking something warm and rest your voice it should come back in a day or so. Good Luck

Often a bad case of strep throat will take out my voice...

But I've been at several concerts and sporting events when I was younger where I have screamed so much that I destroyed my voice for several days...

My voice coach would kill me if I did that now!

yes and for 3-4 days i shouldn't talk. only yes and no i could say. funny but bad on the other hand!!!

nope, my voice doesnt leave my throat. ...uh ....wait

My voice gets weaker after I use it a lot, if thats what you mean by lost. I found it again yesterday.

yup
on my singing competition and it sound like a chicken during slaughter

yes, but not by my talking too much. sore throat/head colds have done it in the past.

Once after a concert. It took me a few days for my voice to be normal.

May 1992....I was at Game One of the Stanley Cup Finals, Penguins-Black Hawks at Mellon Arena (the Pittsburgh Civic Arena at the time). The Pens came back from being down 4-1, and when Lemieux popped in the game winner with (I think) 11 seconds left in regulation, I, like everyone else there went absolutely bonkers. Unlike most of the fans, in the process I blew out a vocal chord or something. My voice didn't come back for three days...not that any of my co-workers complained.

yes

yes after a party.

Not from talking to much..usually from a sore throat and coughing.... this is what helps me..I just got over starting to loose my voice, something hot like tea, or even hot chocolate or coffee, and the usual cough drops....And at night I had to take a night time cough med..since I was waking my self up everytime I would caugh.

yes

I've lost my voice before but not because i talked too much - more because i screamed or had to talk loudly to be heard over other noise.

usually you know if you're losing it because your voice becomes raspy.

but then again what have you been talking too much about?

maybe somewhere deep inside you don't want to talk about something?????

hope you get your voice back soon!
