Why do some people take yahoo answers too seriously?!

Apparently not, I get thumbs down all the time for trying to lighten the mood in here...I think some of these people need to see a proctologist ASAP
EDIT-But the funniest part is these people who ask totally idiotic questions (which are obviously intended to be stupid questions), and then some people get mad when you give them a goofy answer! Like I'm really gonna sit and ponder a serious answer to some of these things people ask...

Gross questions are worth of thumbs down. I noticed many users seem to agree on this.
Being reported because you ask sth is kinda stupid -I 've never seen anyone being reported for a serious reason. No one asks abusive, racistic etc. questions. There are so many questions of sexual content but no one reports them because they are funny... Maybe I disagree because many of my questions were reported...
You are lucky, though: Ppl in "Polls & Surveys" get jokes more than anyone who answers in other categories.
Silly does not necessarily equal funny or humorous, silly can equal banal and stupid and that will get a thumbs down every time.
