Leave it open, unless I'm cold, then I turn on the heat and shut the door. Unfortunately, most of the time even when I'm not home alone I have to leave the door open. I have an 8 month old and a 2 year old, if I shut the door something bad is bound to happen =)

I live alone so I leave it open but sometimes if my daughter stops by, she has a key and there are a few times when I've been caught in the act so to speak.
