Question: Just curious. My mom met her husband on the internet 2 years ago and they've been together ever since (in real life). And one of my best friends met her fiance off a phone chatline. They talked for like a year, met each other, and have been together ever since. (that was 2 years ago) I want to know your stories and no stupid replys, please?

I've been dating my current boyfriend for over 3 years. We met online in a yahoo chat room. We didn't plan on dating, that's for sure. We talked off and on for a while and it got to where we talked every single night for hours. One day he asked me out and I was sooo happy that I started crying! lol It was honestly one of the best days of my life, I must admit. At first I worried it wouldn't work and always got upset hearing other people say it wouldn't but now I don't care what other people think. He is absolutely perfect in my eyes. He is my first true love and he means everything to me! I know he is the one I want to spend my life with, I have no doubt in my mind about that. He's not only my wonderful boyfriend but my best friend too. :)

Not me, my best friend has. She was dating this guy for like 2 years. It was a "phone" relationships. They met on the Party Line. Yeah, well, she found out her "boyfriend" was actually a girl. A lesbian...VERY AWKWARD!!! Be careful with those kinds of relationships.
this brings to mind something that happened to me the other night...I'm trying to get a credit processing account for my business through my bank, and the guy I was talking to was really funny and we talked for a long time, not about the credit thing. he actually called me later that evening! he was like "I said I was gonna call you" and I said "I didn't think you were SERIOUS!!!" can you believe that??? weird....anyway, my best friend and her husband of three years met online and they're very in love and going strong.

I met mine on the Austin People Store a phone service. You call listen to their messaages then leave a response. We have been together 10 yrs and very happy. We both dated other people from the service and enjoyed meeting new people then one day he just out of the blue asked when I was going to quit talking to other people on there and just be with him. We have had one really bad fight where we almost broke up during the first year together and we both cried and yes we have our little spats mostly over each others parents but not enough to split us up and it is usually right around payday when we have just paid all of our bills LOL. It's been good. We always met the other people in a public place and took our own car I usually let the men leave first so I wasn't worried about them doing anything and I never gave my home phone number or address until the third date. There are always a lot of first dates with the services but it is fun. I always planned the dates and picked the places to meet. It was fun but if anything ever happened to this one that would be it. My mom also dated from the same service and she had fun too.
