Have you ever helped?!

Question: someone when they were in a life or death situation?

Was it a stranger?

An old man was mowing the lawn here, right out beside the road, when a woman isnt watching what she's doing on the road and runs him over, knocking him off and into the grass.I had to rush to get ice.

Working in a health clinic, one sees it more often than they would like. The most memorable one was when a man had collapsed outside in the parking lot and two women came in screaming, "he's dead! He's dead!". Turns out, not so dead. Close, but after performing CPR for 30 minutes with no coat on in a 10 degree parking lot, the ambulance finally got there and took over. Thank goodness for adrenaline and the the physical strength it takes to start CPR on someone - essentially you can't quit once you start until an ambulance arrives. It was fortunate for me that I come from the Great White North. The physicians in our clinic were startled that I didn't get pneumonia.

no, just being a spectator is enuf sometimes

ouch! no i have never been in that situation.

now when i think about it, maybe more often than i should have.
some were strangers, some were not.
depends on the definition.

yes

So your need for ice outweighed the desire to help the old man who was run over?

good for you! Ya, once I pulled a kid up from underwater in the pool, he had gone under and was in trouble - that was a long time ago now. . .

no, ive never been there when someone was having alife or death situation

Superman got sick yerterday so i have to do all his work....i just save 13 citizen yesterday....

no but I have did something close like that but somebody couldn't breath and I gave her CPR it was really hard but she's working great and happy as a clam. Her name is Elexibeth

Good for you! I guess you can say I have helped someone I didn't know before in a life or death situation. I used to be a lifeguard, and I am currently a 911/Police dispatcher.

yes i have and he rings me every day to say thank you...and no he was a friend.

A few times...saw someone laying on the sidewalk when I was driving by, looked dead to me. Called 911, they came and he survived..not sure what was wrong with him. Saw a guy on a bus stop bench get hit by a hit and run car..called 911 and as far as I know he lived. Always do the right thing. It could be you or your family in need of help.
