It had started probably in a large group of boys only when one of them did something silly to be shouted at "oh boy" by one of his fellow members. Then onward its always "oh boy" not "oh girl".
Boys always mess up!...lol!
Because Oh girl just sounds wrong and plus it is usually the boys being stupid any was so they decide lets making a saying that's is ... Oh Boy! = ]

Tee hee. Instead of "oh boy" we should say "ogre"... and then we can add in "ogress" too. That way we satisfy both the "oh boy" AND "oh girl" people.
