Oh yes!!!!! Sometimes seems I put it out myself...as if once things get to hot..I then back off. My fear of serious love!
Then there have been the times I let myself go..showed all my love...started a real fire!!! Then bam! He backs off. Or how about this scenario...He makes me feel wonderful..the fire is roaring...then I find out all he say's is not always the truth...that puts my fire right out!!!!!!!
Oh let me add...the man I once was with...who proclaimed total love etc. etc. felt the need to always discuss his wife with me...or what he had done for her..etc. etc. Talk about a fire out!!!!! What was I to him...if he was still so consumed by yesterday...not the now or the future.
I feel like I am the one who always has to put out the fires.

Yes, I do understand all too well. I am married to what used to be my best friends ex husband of more than 7 years and now, she refuses to talk to me and is putting all kinds of terrible thoughts into the children's heads about our relationship. She is doing her very best, although it will never be good enough to break our love down, to divide the children between her and me. It's terrible but time will be my savior. The Green Eyed Monster of Jealousy will NOT win.
