Question: What's the big deal if you have either of these traits? Wouldn't the world be a very sad and boring place if we all thought and acted the same and living too scared to upset anyone?

Nothing. I'm both a hater and opinionated. I mean, there's nobody who only likes things. Everyone has to hate something. And everyone has opinions.
Yes, but there are times when it is inappropriate to be honest LOL...people can really be scarred from little things others don't think is such a big deal!
Yes it would but being a hater and being opinionated are different. If you're a hater, you hate, obviously, and opinionated means you have an opinion.
Being a hater means you spread negativity on to others, which is a trait of an uneducated, unevolved person. No thanks, I'd rather be boring.
I'm not afraid to upset people when their views threaten the lives or minds of the innocent. I'm opinionated, I however try to see each person's point and love them because they are fellow human beings.
