Why do certain "cheeses" have holes in it ???!

Well to tell u the trurth....they were made that way

i think it's to do with bacteria

bubbles during the process of making the cheese.

A special bacteria (Propionibacter shermani) is added to the cheese, and this releases Cardon Dioxide (as a byproduct of lactic acid production) while the milk curdles.

The larger the holes the longer the cheese has been allowed to mature

its all the mice's fault.....

Cheese is cheesing. That's why.
