No, I am more offended, as an Australian, that we have once again allowed an American slang term to become so dominant in our culture to the point it cancels out such an old tradition.
That is not intended to be an Anti-American comment, it is a deliberate poke at the Australians who are ashamed of our culture and have to use other cultures for a point of reference or identity.
