no cause then when you know who gave you a thumbs down there are people out there who would be bitter about it and go to your answers and give you a thumbs down in retaliation..
Naaah that would make it a bit more difficult then - it might not work out because then people would either be afraid to give honest thumbs or they'd just abuse the system. I guess the anonymity can help people be a little more open about it. But I think they should have a way for people to respond to the others' answers - to explain why they don't like the answer.
