Question: I've never gotten married because politicians have prevented us gay folks from doing so.
And let me tell you, it's grand fun to pay the same taxes as everyone else but not be afforded the same rights. Truly the American Dream.
Meanwhile, idiot celebrities get hitched and divorced numerous times while giggling about how fun it is. It warms my heart to see that those fine upstanding heterosexuals are upholding the sanctity of marriage.

I got married at 23 (20 years ago) becaus I thought I was in love and because I wanted out of my parents abusive home. The thing was, I went from one abusive home to another. I divorced the jerk 17 years later (2 1/2 years ago). I am now happy not being married, but wish I had a guy in my life to love, cherish, and take care of me.
