Ah, me personally, No. Not in the slightest Clo. I prefer to communicate the universal and politically correct way myself - using Sign language.

I started using this method while I had a sore throat last year. I didn't LEARN the universally correct method of signing per say. Instead I just made it up as I went along (or so I thought...)

Amazingly, I was shocked to discover I was actually Gifted in the art of Impromptu, Interpretive Signing...and to think, all these years, and I had no idea...

I hate to imagine the possibilities that have eluded me because I was kept in the dark for so long...Look out world, here I come!!! The big break I've been looking for at last may be just over the horizon.

Ahhh...Life. It really IS like a box of Chocolates isn't it?... (FYI: this sign involves a box of assorted Cadbury chocolates (and of course your mouth itself, to be able to chew them) Fine by me! (: have been using this analogy a lot these days actually... Practise makes perfect and all that....

The peace and quiet is like a breath of fresh air in my Home now....the ultimate Stress-buster! I binned my Valium as a result. The added bonus of having my Cardio. exercise for the day taken care of without even going to the Gym, was very handy indeedy, I must admit!

In Japan, they've just released a PC that not only translates TEXT to speech, but every other pliable body part that moves to speech as well! Jumping the gun? I don't think so.Technological advancement is their speciality after all.

The press CAN twist things around like a frigging" Contortionist at times though can't they?(: Good point you've raised here though Clo. Taking the term "freedom" a little too far is surely an under-statement if ever I've heard one!

Apparently the latest media/press release claims there are even some "Non-conformist" sectors of society, who are pushing the boundaries even further than this...Communicating not only their hands and mouths, but with every other pliable bodily attachment imaginable! How far is too far....and will we ever draw the line?

And to think... I was shocked when the humble letter delivered by the friendly bicycle-riding neighbour-hood Postie was put in dire risk of being cornered into a phase of indefinite extinction - and fast.

Generation X quickly began to refer to the paper post as "old-fashioned" when compared to it's newly preferred alternative., the e-mail. The old pen and paper was running out if ink and being put at risk of entering pre-mature extinction, overrun by it's vastly superior counter-part.

Society today is, in my view, one of complete"Consumer Convenience". Conservatives must be dropping dead at the very thought of this wide-spread global phenomena - and in alarmingly rates, I should think!

I decided not to type what I really think (in regard to the varied political stances on the issue) to avoid being slapped with a law suit. Instead, signing it quietly to myself. Besides, cursing in sign ain't pretty, and no less offencive than using your voice-box to convey your opinions, believe you me!

--- Gracie (-:

I'm not confused with that, I have learned that in Rights & Responsibilities and i believe we all have freedom of speech and rights.

I agree.

I agree it is starting to get a little out of control...I think certain things should just be kept to yourself!

I do believe in freedom of speech. And yes, I agree. But it's not just teenagers who abuse the right to free speech, Clo.

Yeah, and I also believe in freedom of action, so u can clobber those that over- exercise freedom of speech

No, I couldn't care less about the opinions of complete strangers out there... I have a life.

Of Course but there will be times we will sometime draw on whats right and whats worng...

I believe people need thicker skin and not take stuff so seriously. I mean theres a cause for damn near everything now.

im happy when 'speakers' will also listen to others views

I think freedom of speech nowadays, can also be called "verbal abuse" or being used as an excuse for personal attack. There are no more space for human integrity to grow. It's like saying everyone is the righteous one, no more moral boundaries and pretty soon chaos will emerge.

Sadly freedom does not always equal good sense.
Peace.

as long as its the clean version

The "press and the news" are suppose to report facts, but now I think they fabricate or exaggerate most. The waters have become muddied.
I am for freedom of speech and voicing ones opinion, but not in regards to news & press.
