no, I haven't put tinsel on my tree in years. I prefer strings of beads. Tinsel looks very cheap--so does silver garland.

i think it is tacky... i got my mom to stop using it when i was a kid and it look a lot better.

Love it on the tree, but hate it when christmas is over and its gets hard to clean up.
I always like putting tinsel on my trees, until one day one of my cats started choking on it, so i never used it again.
i agree with the first poster. it looks tacky and it's such a mess especially if you have kids or a dog
its messy and then my CAT EATS IT and walks around with it hanging out of her BUTT half the season!!

Too messy, and my dog ate a bunch of it one yr, and had a solid tinsil t u r d. My cats would try to eat it too. AND.. Its always falling on the ground. In my opinion, it covers up the beauty of the tree.*
