Start with a zombie apocalypse, throw in star-crossed lovers, add a barnyard jamboree with lots of can-do attitude. Also, the dog makes it home safe for Christmas.

Sure. This is a question that someone posted and you have something here for a great short story
You have seen movies I am sure (or read stories) about aliens coming to earth..........How about a story of someone from EARTH (astronaut) going out in space and then crash landing or not a crash....but landing on another planet and he is taken prisoner and put on trial, or treated like he had potential to cause the planets people harm.....He proves to them that he comes in peace, but has trouble convincing the inhabitants of his sincerity.....he of course is human and they are not...and do no look like him. He also has ablilities to make things work for ....the planet that they have never heard of.....there ya go....go for it.
